- According to FAO’s 2009 report “The State of Food and Agriculture” Afghanistan was ranked 139 out of 171 countries with an average of 30.0 MC (meat consumption measured in lbs/person/year)
- The most widely used meat is lamb. One famous dish that usually being served by restaurants and outdoor vendors is known as Kebab.
